• Couldn't recognize Jesus jn 20:14
• Filled with fear and great Joy.   Mark 16:8, matt 28:8

What are they scared of.  They can't believe that Jesus rose again

• Worshipped Jesus matt 28:9

And they went and told people Guards They protected the dead body

• Trembled and became like dead men Matt 28:4
• Reported to the chief priests.  Matt 28:11
• Love of money 28:12

• Took counsel Matt 24:12
• Love of reputation matt 24:12-13
• Blinded the truth

Disciples

• Did not go to help the women
• Frightened Luke 24:37
• Doubted

-- Did not believe the resurrection Luke 24:11

-- Believed the stealing theory

• Waiting to touch John 20:25

Where are you?

• Around the tomb weeping because Christ is dead in your life?
• Locked in room with fear of accusations?
• Unwilling to believe in the impossible?
• Sad, walking away from Jerusalem?
• Waiting to touch Jesus physically to believe?
