About us

A family of families

We are people from different backgrounds and walks of life who have come into an experience where our lives were dramatically transformed.

We are a family of families from different backgrounds and walks of life who have come into an experience where our lives were dramatically transformed. All of us have, at some point in time, encountered the God who created this magnificent universe — and having experienced His tender loving care, we now work at living in obedience to Him as a mark of our love for Him.

How New Life Fellowship began

  1. 1983

The New Life Fellowship began in a small way when the Lord Jesus Christ impressed upon Pastor V.M. Samuel and his wife, Somey, to move out of Mumbai and pioneer a church in Mangalore, Karnataka. God enabled them to envision a church-planting movement throughout Karnataka, which remains one of the most unreached states in South India.

  2. 1987

Pastor V.M. Samuel and Somey handed over the churches in Mangalore to Pastor Donald Menezes and Winnie, and shifted base to Bangalore to lead the church-planting movement of the New Life Fellowship.

Pastor V.M. Samuel held the firm conviction that the church is the means of reaching the unreached and the answer to the revival of people. The church-planting ministry of the New Life Fellowship continues to progress. The Lord raised up leaders who stood firm with him in building the kingdom of God, and granted faithful co-workers committed to the leadership and vision of NLF — together a team tasked with establishing Bible-based, Spirit-filled, self-governing and self-supporting churches with a mandate to Grow. Go. Give.
