Center for Care & Counseling

Counselling and care for everyone

“So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’” — Ezekiel 36:35

The Center for Care and Counseling is the result of a felt need in society. It is an attempt to reach out to broken nests and broken wings, helping to revive and rebuild lives, hearts and emotions battered by the storms of life.

There is a severe need for counselling. People work under immense pressure from the workplace and from strained relationships, and the two feed each other. Another factor is the absence of parents at home due to heavy work schedules, especially work catering to other time zones. In some cases both parents travel for work, and children do not see their parents for weeks.

All counselling is offered at no cost, by appointment, and confidentiality is assured.

Programme: Operation Wisdom

General Counselling

The world is becoming a tough place, with individuals and relationships coming under a lot of pressure. Insecurity, depression, low self-esteem, loss of confidence and career failure are endemic in our society. People are looking for care and support, and we have made it our mission to serve them.

Sessions are one-to-one or in groups, typically 50 minutes, by appointment only.

Programme: Freedom

Youth Counselling

A large share of our population is young and energetic, and most are in secondary school or college. This is the age of vibrancy and energy — and if it is not directed well, that energy is spent in ways that are not meaningful and sometimes harmful.

We counsel young people on adolescence, sexual development, relationships, sport, decision-making and ethical empowerment, through seminars, workshops and one-to-one sessions. We also run parenting programmes to help parents relate to their children. Confidentiality is assured. By appointment only.

Programme: Crossroads

Career Counselling

Every child comes to a crossroads several times on the journey from childhood to adulthood, especially when choosing a career. These are most pronounced at the 10th standard and 12th standard, after which the career track is usually fixed. Then there are those who want to change career, or try entrepreneurship.

We would love to help you make that decision — guiding you, helping you discover your strongest areas of interest, and building your confidence in yourself. This is done one-to-one and usually takes at least three appointments. Parents are asked to join one of the meetings.
